Image Auto Body Inc. was established in 1993 and was founded by Philipp Weaver Sr. Philipp who had a vision and dream to own an auto collision shop started in the early 1980’s. Born and raised in the Philippines he first came to the country after serving in the Vietnam War as a U.S. Marine, then finishing his term in 1970 later migrating to the bay area. There he met and married Elizabeth and they had three sons Michael, Phillip Jr., and Clifford. He first started in the auto repair business working with Fil-Am Auto Body in the late 1970’s which was owned and operated by family relatives. This shop was the first Filipino owned repair facility in the bay area. As a part time employee he learned the trade and passion repairing cars. Taking a step in establishing his own business he later retired from a 15 year career being a Muni driver, and Cable Car Operator in 1986. Starting his business was not as easy and the business took some unfortunate turns throughout the years. With the determination and hard work the business has grown into a respected repair facility today.
